Soil

Visit the US Department of Agriculture Web Soil Survey  to find out the soil data for a specific area of interest (AOI).

Once there zoom to the desired area and use the AOI tool to define the bounderies. Then click the tab at the top that says “Soil Map” to view your AOI map. You can download the data as a shapefile by clicking on the “Download Soils Data” tab and at the bottom you’ll see “Create Download Link”.
