LouisianaView has, since spring 2002, sponsored, along with the USGS National Wetlands Research Center a workshop, entitled: 2011 Louisiana Hurricane Season National and Local Geospatial/Imagery Data Availability: Data Mining Workshop. This workshop, held June 23, 2011, was free and attended by 45 local and state government, private agencies and educators interested or working in emergency response. We hold this each year prior to Hurricane Season on the Gulf Coast with presentations by Federal and State Agencies working in Emergency Response data archive, acquisition, and distribution.
