Brent Yantis Presents at 2019 GIS Pro Conference in New Orleans, LA

September 28 – October 3, 2019

With the help of the Louisiana URISA Chapter, we are pleased to provide the GIS Community with important education and ample opportunities to connect. Take advantage of everything!

The Chairs of GIS-Pro 2019 (John Nolte, Ashley Hitt, and Judy Colby-George) will discuss program highlights and recognize the many contributors who made this event possible.

Then, hear from URISA's President Kim McDonough and some invited guests as we kick off an education-packed conference in New Orleans.

We'll hear about the "Earth as Art" Exhibition from Brent Yantis (you'll be able to view several pieces of the exhibit in the exhibit hall).

Then meet Nate Herold from NOAA Office for Coastal Management who is our keynote speaker. He will discuss NOAA and Digital Coast:

Coastal communities are striving to protect their citizens, infrastructure, and economy in the face of many threats and challenges. NOAA seeks to help these communities be effective, creative, and science-based in their approach. This keynote will highlight the resources available on the Digital Coast website, the partnership of organizations that help ensure that these resources are relevant to meeting our common coastal management needs, and a high resolution land cover being developed to provide detailed data useful at the local level.
